we determined a difference in the mineralization process of two types of mice

Our lab just published in "Connective Tissue Research" an article called: "Raman spectroscopy investigation shows that mineral maturity is greater in CD-1 than in C57BL/6 mice distal femurs after sexual maturity."
This paper highlights a pivotal difference in the bone mineralization process between two models of mice that are commonly used in biomechanics research. CD-1 might be closer to human than C57BL/6, and this is a new step in facilitating translational research.
Congrats to Melody and Clemence, the two junior authors of the paper!
